ALICORN Partners with Surgery Hero to Offer Virtual Surgery Coaching Supporting Expensive and High-Risk Surgeries

Washington, D.C., September 1, 2024 – ALICORN has partnered with Surgery Hero to offer a new CareChat™ Virtual Surgery Coach service for employees approaching planned surgery. Employers offering health benefits to their employees can now help their employees reduce surgery-related complications and time away from work with this service.

Surgeries are among the highest cost and risk categories for employers and employees. Procedures like total knee replacement, total hip replacement, abdominal hysterectomy, open myomectomy, cholecystectomy, prostatectomy, hysterectomy, gallbladder removal, hernia repair, and cancer surgeries have a significant impact on the employees’ lives and work. • Insightful health metrics – employees uncover actionable insights and get coach feedback by tracking sleep, activity, steps, and other health metrics.
• Peer support – support from surgery-specific peer groups and opt into additional groups for ongoing motivation.
